A New Britain man has been sentenced to five years in prison for trafficking stolen guns from Florida to Connecticut and selling cocaine, federal officials said. Eric Woodie, 32, appeared in court in New Haven on Thursday and was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer to 66 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release, according to the U.S. Attorney's office. On March 2, 2023, Woodie pleaded guilty to one count of possession with intent to distribute cocaine and one count of possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
